  • Gather all information and photos for your site (as you would for a printed piece).
  • Decide if your site requires interactive options such as an order form or request for quote.
  • Note any special features you may want included with your site. (** indicates features subject to additional design charges):
    • Custom graphics or logos**
    • Animations**
    • Photography**
    • Copy writing**
    • E-commerce**
    • Search Engine placement and management**
    • Rush turnaround**
Building Your Site
  • Develop pages as you would for a printed piece
  • Clearly define a heading for each “page”. This step helps facilitate linking your pages.
  • Estimate the number of pages you'll need based on content.
  • Most websites include:
    • Home page
    • Company information/history
    • Products/services pages
Here’s what you need to provide:
  • Provide the cleanest material possible for text, photos, logos, graphics.
  • Provide a list of "Key Words" describing your company's product and services. "Key Words" are placed in source code facilitate search engines.
  • Keep it simple! Web sites should be quick to download, visually interesting and easy to read and navigate.

Proofing

Test pages can be uploaded to your site for all proofing stages. Upon your approval the site is made active.

  • Proofing is your responsibility! PROOF your test site carefully. Make sure all contact information, text, product information and links are correct.
  • Report any dysfunction on the site
    • Unexpected glitches happen when pages go live. Check the entire site carefully.
After your site goes live …
  • Visit your website often. Check your entire site.
  • Report any broken links or other dysfunction on the site (again, glitches happen).
